Baby Shower!

Since Lauren and Rachel were both in town for Thanksgiving, they decided it would be a good time to throw a baby shower for me.  It was fantastic!  It was one big combined shower with my friends, my mom's friends, and Marilyn's friends.  Mom was gracious enough to hold it at her house, and she, Lauren, Rachel, and Marilyn made some beautiful and tasty food.  Below are some pictures.  Thanks to everyone who came!!! :)

The girls planned a fun game where everyone divided into 4 groups and we had a onesie design contest.  I was so impressed by the creativity and artwork!

 



For those of you who aren't Miami Alumni, this is a play on words of a slogan they used when we were there.  The slogan was "You're here because you're smart".  It was for a campaign meant to encourage the non-partying aspect of college :)  You can guess which of my friends deisgned this one :)

 

I was supposed to pick the winner, but I just couldn't do it!  I decided to let Abby crawl to her favorite and luckily she was quite decisive :)

A few weeks after the shower I had a wonderful time getting together with my four roommates from our senior year at Miami.  It is a tradition at Miami for many of the off campus houses to have a name, and ours was named 711, like the convenience store (because that was the address).  Noelle, who was in town from Florida, surprised me with a cake, welcoming the baby to our "711 Family"!  So thoughtful! :)
